ABOUT ME
I work with local governments throughout the state to facilitate community economic development projects, by promoting the use of local resources to enhance economic opportunities and improve social conditions in a sustainable way. I'm a certified Community Economic Development professional and have a particular interest in downtown development and redevelopment.
In addition to my duties at Sanford Holshouser LLP, I serve as Vice-Chairman on the Planning Board for the Town of Wendell. As a native of North Carolina, community economic development and land use issues within the state are things I care about deeply. I recently worked with a team on a proposed redevelopment of the East Main Street corridor in downtown Durham. Previously, I worked as a Title I intervention teacher for the Zebulon Elementary School system, and spent time as a real estate agent and property manager.
During my time at UNC Law, I volunteered as part of the Women in Law peer mentor program, assisted with the pro bono cancer clinic, and served as managing editor of the First Amendment Law Review. I was also privileged to intern for the Honorable Robert C. Hunter of the North Carolina Court of Appeals. I live in Wendell and enjoy collecting early American antiques.
